He is a cute little fellow who loves to smile and coo. Enjoys late nights and drinking copious amounts of milk, only the good stuff mind you! He can be stinky (like most boys), but does enjoy a good splash in the bath. Favourite hobbies included drinking milk, sleeping and just being damn well gorgeous. He says hi by the way... Oh and he melts his mummy's heart as soon as he looks at her.<br />
Babies hey, just too cute for words!<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-62IW4BGylajFFRa6jP2ECQcBT5kgDEnSEdwzFurJ8yVd7g34x45TD7Evx2FzVCAP1qXeE0yqGQkaGNf673Lq8OEtDThvj-JR6zv3g_Dowfes46Wq-U8JXHMAt1EwGDoPctWZMk7NRMcG/s640/blogger-image-1178564055.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-62IW4BGylajFFRa6jP2ECQcBT5kgDEnSEdwzFurJ8yVd7g34x45TD7Evx2FzVCAP1qXeE0yqGQkaGNf673Lq8OEtDThvj-JR6zv3g_Dowfes46Wq-U8JXHMAt1EwGDoPctWZMk7NRMcG/s640/blogger-image-1178564055.jpg" /></a></div>Faye 'Country Chic'http://www.blogger.com/profile/07271869338098689239noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586318713195906532.post-4361100757595601702012-09-28T15:57:00.002-07:002012-09-28T15:57:46.076-07:00What a difference a YEAR makesWow I can't quite believe a whole year exactly has passed since my last post. This past year has seen some huge changes, filled with utter delight and heart breaking sadness.<br />
<br />
In December 2011 my best friend lost her two year battle breast cancer, just writing this makes me cry. I miss her so, so much and hate the fact that I can't just phone or text her with some random silly thing, we knew each other so well, we just understood and supported each other wholeheartedly, a friendship like ours will never be forgotten and always treasured. I miss you Tracey with all my heart, your here with me always in those wonderful memories we had. So many things Tracey spoke with me about have made a real difference to my life. She tought me to live in the moment, to achieve my real dreams and to stay focused on what makes me happy. For these words I am eternally grateful.<br />
<br />
Now to the other huge change in my life, well let's just say our family of three became a family of four. In early August I gave birth to a gorgeous little boy. To say I'm in total love would be a severe understatement. My little boy is truely amazing and completes our little family in so many ways.<br />
<br />
The strange thing was that I always knew I would have a little boy, strange I know but I just did. I had previously spent the last few years with a growing feeling the my work, life balance was way out and that I would reach a certain age and be filled with regret, regret that I could of done xyz, instead of working constantly, so I decided to make a change. And xyz are just so much better!<br />
<br />
Here's to life and enjoying it, treasuring every moment, living the life you want and doing whatever makes you happy. A life without regrets!<br />

I just LOVE their clothes, the quality and attention to detail is gorgeous, but alas when they joined forces with Boots to create their own gift range, I squealed for joy! And guess what, their toiletries are just as amazing as the clothes. In fact, as I was lucky to have received quite a lot of Joules toiletries for Christmas last year, I have used little else, and I would defiantly recommend them 100% (my skin was so soft and smelt gorgeous in the run up to my wedding, thanks to my regular relaxing baths with their products). So as I have now practically ran out, I decided that it must be time I hunted on the Boots website to see if they have a range available again this year and...<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;">Yes they do! Not only do they have the gorgeous body ranges, but look Baking heaven too. I feel like a new chapter in my life is beginning, so what better way to start it, than to write.<br /><br />So many lovely (and sad) things have happened since my last post, yet it is rather embarrassing when I look at the date of my last post, but as I am focusing on living in the here and now. There is no point worrying.<br /><br />I don't have any picture to show you yet, but alas there will be plenty!<br /><br />Below is a quote that evoked a lot of emotion and really did make me think, some times it can be the little things that can mean the most...<br /><br />Whilst sitting and watching one of our favourite films, the following quote was heard, I instantly wrote in down in my note book and have felt compelled by it ever since...<br /><br />'<span style="font-weight: bold;">All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us</span>' Gandalf, Lord of the Rings<br /><br />I don't know about you , but I spend an awful lot of my time feeling like there are never enough hours in the day, and that there is always far to much to be done... in short overwhelmed!<br /><br />'I don't have enough time' (if you have read previous post, you will understand) Has been one of the main issues that has bothered me ever since having my daughter, when you have children, it really does mark how quick time goes by. I have been feeling up until this year, that the last three years have flown by, but I have still not done things which I love or wanted to achieve, so here goes.<br /><br />After hearing this quote, it just struck a chord with me and made me really think about my life. Living in the now, not the past or future but cherishing every day. Life can be so hectic, it is always the simple things that often bring the most amount of pleasure, but these are the things that are often neglected. So I have STARTED doing the things I want and love to do.<br /><br /><br />This year, I got married to the love of my life. It was truly one of the most magical and emotion days for us ever! (Long blog post and pictures will come asap) After 17, yes 17 years together we finally decided to get married, and wow, it was so worth it!<br /><br />Today, we put our names down for an allotment plot, something I have been dreaming about for the last four years, but realised could be a dream which can happen.<br /><br />Going abroad on our honeymoon, which was amazing in so many ways, especially as it was my first holiday abroad and my first time on an aeroplane lol. Total relaxation and quality time to think was just what we needed.<br /><br />Reading, yep such a simple thing, I always used to say, I don't have time, but now I make time. I love nothing more than reading a lovely book, pure escapism. So as of my honeymoon, (two weeks ago) I started reading again. Just picking up a book makes me feel so relaxed. In fact, I went to the library only last week and found six books from two of my favourite authors, so it's a must to read :)<br /><br />And, so, so many other things which I will write about every week. I know our wedding was the pinnacle for so many changes in our life and with that I am so much more happier!<br /><br />So for now, I must stop, but I will be back to show and tell you so much more. Thank you for taking the time to read, I wonder if my quote above, or any other has made a difference to how you think?<br /><br />Hugs<br /><br />xFayeFaye 'Country Chic'http://www.blogger.com/profile/07271869338098689239noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586318713195906532.post-57199720824193203382009-09-11T09:50:00.000-07:002009-09-11T10:38:22.911-07:00<div align="center"><em><span style="font-size:180%;color:#99ff99;"></span></em> </div><div align="center"><em><span style="font-size:180%;color:#99ff99;">Hi I'm Back!!!!!!</span></em><br /><br /></div><div align="center">Well that is from our holiday in Norfolk and back into blogging.</div><br /><br /><a href="http://www.thechiccountryhome.co.uk/Home%20Accessories%20Page%20Two.htm"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5380260080844349810" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd9ClnuNxW-QGvarLSNns52kdHnw89oAscWVORd1XhPNeQ6QwAZt-M6I_oaq-w-EXFkFwFJEXNaYYPobi4bx0iwA0NC61aXa48xH8D5TAnStS-I995D8_xVMwscUsTWFSF-VifTIcYxZ8j/s400/Wooden+Cottages.jpg" /><br /><p align="center"></a>(Only images of our new stock for the moment) </p><p align="center"><br />I will not bore you with my usual 'I have been busy' as that is just a part of my life that will never change but better to be busy than board hehe!<br /><br /><br /></p><div align="center"></div><a href="http://www.thechiccountryhome.co.uk/Home%20Accessories%20Page%20Six.htm"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5380259445591565106" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-e3-bwiZOzL0L7kXlvSQd2RPJ3_5iF0BBCNwPPdwRje2jxyRHTM28rm8Y0tESN53zWM5eZ9I-I-GarnesgjDrGeCujx7gFrlrsb2oQ-FWCGxMVkwY7vsny4USmSeNBQUmJc8rd02QphKC/s400/White+Enamel+Soap+Dish.jpg" /></a><br /><br />We are currently surrounded by stock and clutter. As an inspirational kick-start, <strong>Cath is giving away with the book a length of a unique fabric specially printed for the book, together with handles, a label and button to make up into a bag</strong>. The book itself is packed with 48 projects with full instructions to make a range of fun and useful things, divided into sections on Home, Babies, Bags, Clothes, Accessories and Gifts. But on the plus side which is how I normally look at life, they will be moving to Cromer, a place we all love and one where we can go to the seaside any time of the year plus when I do see them it will be quality time that I spend with them. Most importantly of all is how important this is for my mum and dad... it's been a dream for a very long time.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"><br /></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"><br /></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;">2. The business is going to go into overdrive... We have been selected by Not on the high street to be featured in the Christmas magazine; a whole page. As you can imagine the amount of work has doubled and that is even before the catalogue goes out. I am currently surrounded in every room by stock and this brings me to number 3.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"><br /></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"><br /></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;">3. Why oh why oh why did I start... I have decided that it was about time that the business come craft room was organised and suitable for my needs. This has now equated to having to move everything out so we can decorate. The list is endless and I have to have it all done by the end of September. Not an easy job. We have stripped all the nasty wallpaper and fixed the sash windows. Now we need to paint everything, the bit I am truly excited about is painting the floor boards white, yes I am rather sad but they are the original Victorian ones so I'm really excited. The whole room will be white :) I can't wait. I have every area planned out in detail so lots of pictures will be coming soon of how we got on.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"><br /></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;"><br /></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#999999;">As you can tell this is why my blogging is still very pathetic to say the least. Is it just me or do any of you suffer from this problem? I have loads of idea's of posts to write but seldom get the time to write them and then when I do the moment or occasion has passed so I don't bother. I am a truly rubbish blogger at the minute.</div><br /><br /><div>On to a good note now though...<br /></div><div>Thank you to all the lovely people who stop by my blog. I have met some very kind, caring and creative people plus a vast array of lovely blogs to visit too. I love reading peoples comments on my blog, you always make me smile! It really is a lovely feeling to be able to share these thoughts with people I have so much in common with. The strange thing is that all my non blogging friends have never heard or are not interested in blogging, but they don't realise what they are missing I suppose. </div><br /><br /><div>As usual I am up to my ears with business stuff to do, our birthday promotion has been very popular, plus I have lots of new stock that has just been delivered that is now piled high ready to be sorted, photographed, oh and lots of paper work needs to be done too. I have fond memories of going to one of my mothers friends gift shops where she would let me re design the shelves and displays, which I thoroughly enjoyed. She used to say what a great eye I had for detail. It only dawned on me the other week that it runs in the blood too. My grandad came from a family of shop owners, mum still talks fondly about the shop they had when she was a little girl.</div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"><em><span style="font-size:130%;"></span></em></span> </div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"><em><span style="font-size:130%;"></span></em></span> </div><div><span style="color:#cc0000;"><em><span style="font-size:130%;">When it began</span></em>...</span></div><br /><div>I always wanted to own a bricks and mortar shop but didn't want to make the jump from my career (teaching assistant in a primary school) or life style. That all changed when I became pregnant with Ella and once she was born I started to crave that idyllic dream. I started to fall in love with floral fabric, painted furniture and vintage finds. Its not really a surprise, my love of period properties came from regular trips with my parents to stately homes and castle. So it was only a matter of time really. It did and still does at times feel strange how much my style and love of interiors has changed. I went from buying modern interior magazines to discovering The English Home magazine. Country Living magazine had always been present in my parents home, they still have many original magazines from the 80's. But it became a magazine that I started enjoying... I felt rather detached from some of my friends as they were all very ' Modern'. Another reason why I love blogging is finding so many people who love the same things as me :)</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Once Ella was born we decided as a family to relocate to Kent. His mother had a couple of antique shop there and was very eager for Jeremy to join the family business... He had been brought up there, so the idea of moving to Kent really appealed to both of us. The stunning period houses and glorious countryside made it very appealing too. To cut a very long story short, Jeremy left his Job in computing to join the family business and work down in Kent. This was when the idea was born.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>To complement the period furniture and vintage accessories in the shop it was decided that we would set up a business selling gift and homes accessories in the shop which Jeremy managed. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div><em><span style="font-size:130%;color:#cc0000;">And so my dream was born...</span></em></div><br /><div></div><br /><div>The shop was in Rolvenden Kent and was in a lovely old barn! It was such fun buying stock and choosing lots of lovely things to complement the furniture and vintage accessories. Unfortunately our home was still in the Midlands and in need of decorating and updating before we could put it on the market to move to Kent. So I stayed at home with Ella while Jeremy worked in Kent for four days a week... so silly when I think about it now. I used to plan the displays of our stock and Jeremy would go back to Kent with a drawing pad and instructions on 'how to display the stock'. When we would stay with his mother I loved moving stock around and having a go at the practical side of the business.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Unfortunately it became very difficult living apart and we started to become rather phased by why we were doing this... Jeremy also missed his old job, he should of been born with a computer attached to him hehe! Well to cut another long story short I decided in 2005 to start planning a website. I wanted to be able to be actively involved with running the business and yearned to take it to another level.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>After endless planning and designing the website was launched in 2006. When you run a business is is amazing how many skills you need to master. The first was designing the website and actually building it... I loved having the creative freedom and ability to do this, not to mention doing something with all the endless hours when Ella was asleep in bed and Jeremy was in Kent. Let me tell you that using Microsoft Front page is no easy task, but it did allow all my creative vision to become a reality. Every area of the website was down to me so I had to learn pretty fast. Lots of computer programming books were not my thing, I'm a visual learner, so everything was done by trial and error. Even our logo took over nine hours to do, I was using a professional editing programme and had no idea of how to do it. Lets just say that I giggle every time I look at the logo, to do the same thing now would only take a couple of hours.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I still have all of my original planning books and the website looks exactly how I had envisaged. I also discovered a love of photography and gain great enjoyment when photographing new stock. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>So that brings me to the here and now. The website has grow and evolved tremendously and it is a real source of pleasure... pain some times though. It amazes me how much I have learnt and the drive that I have... I also discovered what a perfectionist I am but when running a business this can only be a good thing. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>The best part of running the business is getting emails from customers saying how lovely it was to receive the parcel. Oh and all the shopping for new stock, this bit really is great fun!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I have so many plans for the business to grow and do plan to have my very own bricks and mortar shop in the future. But for now I am very happy doing what I do.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I hope I haven't bored you to death, and this was the seriously edited version. Following your dreams can be very daunting at times but also leads to immense pleasure.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Oh and before I forget, any order placed during the moth of June will receive <a href="http://www.thechiccountryhome.co.uk/Online%20Shop%20new.htm">FREE*</a> delivery so if you do fancy having a look, now is the perfect time. </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>I will try to do more blogging but alas life is always getting in the way. It will be my first blogging anniversary next week so I better get on and plan what I am going to do for the give away.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Bye for now, I hope you are following your dreams too!</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>xFaye</div><br /><div></div>Faye 'Country Chic'http://www.blogger.com/profile/07271869338098689239noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586318713195906532.post-54060134887834030472008-05-24T12:11:00.000-07:002008-05-24T14:21:10.053-07:00<div><br /><div><br /><br /><div><div><div><strong><em><span style="font-size:130%;">Hi</span></em></strong> everyone sorry for such a long break since my last post...</div><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204046087479618370" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgshEyYTrt_WvpeuFtvbQR9mTDNZtvch8na48Fqozrn_bBiqR-WgbH-HSV91BnYxjLsKV9XogIUT3wuYDYP347fhhgo4sRCLAXcxyIMbC053UasTQZD7oZapcef5ShgA-p-946DS_oBGjIi/s400/Utensil+Holder+Main.png" border="0" /><br /><br /><div>Every week has just rolled into the next, I made a conscious effort to spend as much time in the garden instead of on the computer, mental note to take pictures.<br /></div><div></div><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204046096069552978" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKwb4eJfIlddZwbnBLapsfx4kOq5ANECH8qYUBJmXJOVdyjPMcyOw1AubNTCxRJixxJrUuZX91SClCMK49B9_8zfJgFbNxDzS6G0CpVosVSeubs-h49MYEbk0okaa1DXoTjzdBlXPLSfhK/s400/DSC01457+Letter+Rack.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><div>We have also been busy planning the whole make over of our house. This has turned into a major thought provoker which has even included a break down of every room to do and an estimated time scale. Lets just say it is much less daunting when you actually write down everything that needs doing. I have even bought my self two books for that purpose, one for inspirational pictures and one for planning. The list of to do is huge but will be so worthwhile when finished. The current plan is the landing... this is a major job and sadly will take months to do due to the scale or work to be done, lets just say a three storey house with huge walls feels never ending. My strangest find so far was one wall near the attic room. My curiosity got the better of me the other day when I was feeling the wall ( yes I know I sound strange.. he he) The wall felt squishy, I was expecting to find plenty of layers of wall paper but no, that would of been to simple. Instead under the top layer of paper was this strange wood effect vinyl paper that was backed with polystyrene. What were they thinking when they did that? Another thing we constantly discover is that any previous owners did touch ups when decorating. That simply included covering over any random decorating disaster with yet another one. Needless to say we are having to strip everything back to the bones including most of the plaster work and start again, skimming most walls and that's just the start, don't let me get started on the artex on the walls to the attic room, boy are they are hideous. I will keep you all posted with how we are doing and try to take pictures.</div><br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204044064550021938" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQPktKRkqamvPz6v2tXhi4P7dEB7lX5bSX80ag3RBDvYh6pFNO4qQN-ybQ5P-sTL4oimYcwoiL-ZqUrLiRNbxUk8zTOjhXtgXsZO0M0kMDUyt592Tey9tcWPg1ukOtwLhAxJBlht9kYXXw/s400/Decorative+Ribbon.png" border="0" /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><div>In between all of that planning there has been some lovely days out with Ella and our friends, plus a nursery trip which was great fun :) yes I am still a kid as were the other mums who joined in with all the rides. Sadly though at the moment Ella is recovering from a horrid bought of gastritis flu, she has had it for over a week now and its been no fun at all, on the bright side the sun has been shinning so all of the extra washing has got dry. </div><br /><br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204055995969170306" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFoLiraUXkCAXNqbIiGlgKaumRdQ4iSlQoLS0Uv20KrA5EWb7nUYoJevUEpY-Npwph5bcyCXLmMK0IGOxB-l7Z5E4awPoXUIa83__9TkNDytfrT5LQ5XJxZ0nG8d1MpgNXaIM9b-RWQo3E/s400/Boys+room+blue+bunting.png" border="0" /><br /><div>I have also been busy a usual on the business front and thought I should include some pictures in my post, so here are a few of the new stock that has just been added to the website.</div><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204054213557742450" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGMLVILMo_IrFVRzWVcA_bXZgKQ5hEFn19JAwhUVs71GOwJ_pKVXTarLy9GrBzTU_Wk-29wwyMpAPdcT_I_hH1XziHze1uROokUMrf6kb5XedeldejfBaS1NT43atRSWqXrIMG2o-io9vC/s400/Maileg+Seat+Set+a.png" border="0" /><br /><br /><div>Finally I just want to say thank you so much to all you lovely people who left comments on Ella's room. My great friend Linda is just like me so we all had a fantastic time running around playing tig with the kids... ah the excitement every time it tried to snow :)(only had phone camera and the pictures were rather blurred to say the least).</div><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182809728746122242" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjL6ckR2bA6_M0TgKLrf72Fx0Wo3yMpdN3RV9DIY8nggkWteLLGsIevFEzR-_nh5crGx7Rn2MnXjYdT-bwsPSjKjYcL-_EmMvu33AEqj5r5EKgIVa72jk-R5eugWDuFGZ_T7zSNdBRzxumj/s320/DSC01148.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>When we awoke on Sunday, I sleepily thought that it was a sunny day which would equate to my eagerly awaited car boot. But it just wasn't meant to be. When I looked out the window I was strangely rather shocked to see snow on the ground with yet more still falling. By the time we managed to get out (half an hour) the show had turned to rain and any snow that was on the ground was fast disappearing. As Ella has hardly see snow let alone had chance to get out and play with it, we made the most of what we could find... I was amazed at how much we managed to rescue from the car he he, and look we still made our own little snow man. We did however go straight up to my mums house where there is always more snow. Jeremy was rather shocked to see the fields full of snow ready for fun, after a huge snowman... made by Jeremy, a couple of snow Angles from Ella and lots of running around the field we went for a lovely walk. It is amazing how when something is rare you really do appreciate and enjoy it. By tea time there was no evidence that we had had any snow at all (all the pictures were taken on my old camera as the battery had run out on the digital one...typical).</div><br /><br /><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5182810939926899746" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwB7JUm2mTjCUjPRD1UBMqnnLiTSHBXhBjxuPEgjTK0souayPzg5r4ax5jJ-uJZ7RdYInKExGQ9Yxrjb3l7oSUK-pbJvMoTLCjnQoHdqV_gG2RlkXhi-44uAsVSUBJq2pMaV3g1N4HHkTX/s400/DSC01154.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><div>So as a result of our snow crazed expeditions lots of yummy choc was eaten and cuddles on the sofa. Sadly no new treasures were found only memories of a great Easter which I feel were a thousand times better. My aim for this year was to get out more and have more fun, and so far I am doing really well on that front :)</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>I hope your Easter was just as fun filled!</div><br /><br /><div>xFaye</div></div>Faye 'Country Chic'http://www.blogger.com/profile/07271869338098689239noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586318713195906532.post-66404844379638618332008-03-17T11:30:00.000-07:002008-03-17T11:43:54.121-07:00<div align="center"><span style="font-family:times new roman;font-size:180%;"><span style="color:#99ff99;">Happy</span> <span style="color:#99ff99;">Easter</span></span><span style="color:#99ff99;"> </span></div><br /><br /><div align="center"><span style="color:#99ff99;"></span></div><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5178780576775523346" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiuxdWi_WcfnxQsyKDtBUtsn59NNUDJzbBpqtGBW3OrjKebrmh_T3rrGbPxzuI_hTNHpDHbbAzDiopJznCQck1VryLIELgos8EkDtOzElzT36IRzxbxoMg97xYlRYPIE5bW3kwVd6qdPhR/s400/Easter+Main+Pic+2008.jpg" border="0" /></p><p><em><span style="color:#999999;">Hi everyone, just a short post to say hello and thank you for all your lovely messages. I had started the year so well and really enjoyed blogging regularly but with one thing and another this month has just flown by. Here is a little run down of where my time has gone.<br /><br /><br /><br /><ul><br /><li>Work, joining <a href="http://www.notonthehighstreet/">http://www.notonthehighstreet/</a> has taken up most of my time, oh and the lovely new addition of a mountain of stock that then needs to be photographed with my swish new SLR camera, wow it is amazing to use, hence me taking hundreds of photos compared to my usual few. I love photography, a passion I discovered when I started up the website. But this did then equate to three times the amount of editing. Then all that needs to be added to the website etc... a job I have yet to get round to finishing. Oh and there is even more stock arriving which will need to go through the long process. Fingers crossed for some lovely sunshine but at the moment that doesn't look very likely (rain and dull grey clouds here).</li></ul><br /><p></p><br /><ul><br /><li>Having fun. It was my birthday the other week so a great excuse for meals out with friends and family. Not to mention fun days out with Ella at half term.</li></ul><br /><p></p><br /><ul><br /><li>Gardening, not much but enough to keep me happy, lots of prep for the year ahead. We will be planting our seeds tomorrow ( Ella and me that is), we have decided that we are going to grow our own veg and salad things this summer. Only a small amount of space but that wont stop us. Vine tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, carrots, spring onions oh and Ella's favourite runner beans.</li></ul><br /><p></p><br /><ul><br /><li>Being ill, oh how I hate it, especially when I have a huge to do list.</li></ul><br /><p></p><br /><ul><br /><li>Making lots of things for orders through the website.</li></ul><br /><p></p><br /><ul><br /><li>A house that never stays tidy no matter how much I try.</li></ul><br /><p></p><br /><ul><br /><li>The gym... the one place I can completely switch off and relax mentally. I gain so many benefits from going so was rather down when my back was playing up. I think I may of pulled a band of muscles in my lower back on Wednesday and unfortunately it just isn't doing very well. One positive outcome of this is that we have now been and bought a lovely new mattress (our current one is seriously bad and we have been on about getting one for ages). So fingers crossed I will be back to normal and feeling fit again by my next post.<br /><br /><div align="center">xFaye </div>Faye 'Country Chic'http://www.blogger.com/profile/07271869338098689239noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4586318713195906532.post-30736656471337611282008-01-16T13:04:00.000-08:002008-01-16T14:11:06.396-08:00<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5AvbhdGdX7A3CqhUiSznN9HxxFcy6YhBXSMi3xlHl8X-0THjUH5wkD-sEPbJzqT6CFCInVA0IyLkCL4A4AmJMGoiVQMTn5NPJEeQKG3MSNlliJLq1Jiqwdx0gRYVzSxUu2vlKOcASz3Rg/s1600-h/DSC05104.JPG"></a><br /><div align="center"><div align="center"><em><span style="font-size:130%;color:#333399;">Yeah the sun was shinning</span></em></div><div align="center"><br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156195632694723442" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRlGEhI_0WVOP2yCEUaPdY2jnIulxspcJ5XjJDjrZ9fya2b6bU63q4X3-cw2rq90XRQjBVFPoo2tEWSZo6rACCbcPuNO9M75MsMjjK05IGrIscgSwFErg8M4Dpl-JGDedtMKQAQOm6rDxe/s400/DSC05102.JPG" border="0" />We knew it was going to be a lovely day as soon as we woke up, and other than feeling a little cold we all had a lovely time.</div><br /><div align="center"><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156195624104788834" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5AvbhdGdX7A3CqhUiSznN9HxxFcy6YhBXSMi3xlHl8X-0THjUH5wkD-sEPbJzqT6CFCInVA0IyLkCL4A4AmJMGoiVQMTn5NPJEeQKG3MSNlliJLq1Jiqwdx0gRYVzSxUu2vlKOcASz3Rg/s400/DSC05104.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><div align="left">One of the fun things at Rufford park is the forge you have to go through to get to one of the entrances.... Well when we saw the ROAD CLOSED sign we were not put off and went around the long way. Normally when we go to Rufford park with our friends, one of the fun things to do in summer is to drive through the forge and splash the water as high as possible.. much to the delight of the children watching, its like a family attraction. Well that day the road was well and truly out of action and oh oh boy was I glad we went the long way around. It was completely flooded see pictures below, needles to say no one was waiting to be splashed but we did have a giggle when some one drove at full speed to go through the forge as usual, only to then notice the road was now a river... well they soon decided to stop as we all looked on in horror. </div><br /><div align="center"><br /></div><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156194820945904434" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjg1csavR0bMntwruPxMGZXvRI3MXbU_3EzNpV4twyvSkYNyTw5mgKUu68luLGyHLZ83b3w1fP9c2AOa4t1Xu9jRf2tt_XbwePYJpjJ5WMJY-xIso_E3ExrVYKyxDswsYGIb79BWbDwmbUJ/s400/DSC05095.JPG" border="0" />The river in the distance is where the road should be.<br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156194808061002530" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNuppRABUzpGxDa6vsfKCwjMq4SFwKiSqbaoyjMtcwerqx0EMEJW_e_pvATUUk5n460UOLBcoROOlmsO4r-wMjXhIf-ZZIIEsYFYeIZqRKCI7Qa43wTrjvn74k5UJJVAxyWCG3lXz7pi77/s400/DSC05093.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Ella loved feeding the ducks and felt very sorry for the swans, ducks and geese that were further around the lake, so next time we will take a full bread loaf and remember to keep some for them.<br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156194288369959698" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVANz9ibTtbR0KxG1mlck7z7D_40-7GvhBSLy5LByFYuXCpa7RZNZTwheEeHRYaW3p7VMFQc5kmxf-fVJS-cClA9UAAHMWXfZd7hOjcZdSUB9NrC4b9HzaZcKEmaAhIJMF9alaokyhuMyd/s400/DSC05092.JPG" border="0" /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156194279780025090" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZHPgnRMSv_5yn2F4eWCpA3xQqQeREVnFgOQ0zXiI_xgkgDHHsdf80LKacTT35yvIVRPxvIKXeDPavT3odGca2bS8EV7_DcSWAZnPEEFjQdzq9Ui3iSdY_wfQd8JCYs_IVpNjr93FTzSXt/s400/DSC05088.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br />After a yummy lunch we walked back through the woods... going on a bear hunt, Ella completely loved this and was convinced we would find one.
