Christmas is nearly here...
So why am I not ready yet???
My poor little Ella is sadly very ill with a horrid cough, cold and high temp so any Christmas crafting/outings are out until she is well again... lots of cuddles and rest should do us all the world of good.
As usual the business has been taking over ever spare minute of the day so sadly no time for any blogging, thank you every one who left a lovely comment on my last post :)
I will be writing yet another list of things I want to do before Christmas.
I thought it would be nice to show you a few pictures of our home, Ella and I had a fantastic time dressing our trees, she has such a creative eye, I was amazed at how well she dressed both trees, in fact only a couple of adjustments were needed.

Every year we have two trees, one in the dinning room that is filled with all of our 'delicate' crystal and glass Christmas decorations all white, silver and pale blue, lovely... plus they also co-ordinate beautifully with all my vintage glass that I display in the dinning room.
The second tree in our lounge is filled with only handmade decorations which all follow a traditional colour scheme, both rooms are a complete contrast but so special (sadly I've not yet got around to photographing that room as the light is so drab at the moment).
I decided last year to keep one of these Nativity sets back for Ella, which she loves and re arranges constantly.
I couldn't quite bring myself to cut up these lovely vintage necklaces so decided to dress them on one of my vintage glass cake stands, they catch the light beautifully when the votive is lit.
I still have lots of glass chandelier droplets that I'm going to attach to ribbons then hang at the window.
I hope you are all having a lovely time getting ready for Christmas.
*** Wishing you all a lovely relaxing Christmas ***

Hope Ella gets better soon - it's awful when little ones get ill. i love all the candles - we couldn't have them with 2 naughty cats around to knock everything over. I decided to put our tree up and use all my vintage glass ornaments - some dating back to the 30's... So far, touch wood, nothing has been broken but the cats are fascinated by it and spend ages pawing the baubles and chewing on branches...
Have a lovely christmas petal x
Get well soon Ella...hope she'll sson be feeling better. I love love love your pictures Faye, your home looks just beautiful. I've used lots of glass and candles myself this year, it's so effective. I'll be looking out for lots more glassware next year at the boot sales, along with vintage Christmas decs...I've got a growing collection and they look so pretty on my tree.
Merry Christmas to you too!

Faye, your decorations look beautiful, really magical.
I hope your little Ella gets better soon, have you got round to doing your gingerbread house yet, we did ours last week, it was a bit tricky putting it together to say the least!

Hi This is my first visit. I got the link from Carol at Katherine's Dream. Your home just sparkles. I love it. I am going to copy your idea to tie some of the loose Chandelier glass from ribbons and hang them in the window. I have whole lot of them. Sorry to hear your little Ella is sick. Our 1/2 year old grandaughter's name is Ella (Ella Grace). I love the name! I have a picture of her posted on my blog on her first Christmas. Love your home. I'll be back to visit again!
Totally adore your photos they are pure eye candy, the magazine collection sounds good fun, I just can't bare to rip mine up, catologues yes! magazines no, thats probably why I have a rather large storage problem ha ha!
Hugs Lynn xx
